Alright here is updated pattern number 3, and I think we are pretty close to getting everything I wanted to have here, here, so next up we’ve got a cowl, skirt, and bandana design coming soon.
But for today, here is this super cute rainbow wall hanging I came up with when my oldest kiddo asked for something rainbowy and fringy – I think we covered both here :)

Project Supplies
- 5mm/ H Hook
- 1 Skein of Lion Brand Ice Cream Cotton blend (47% Cotton 53% Acrylic)
- yarn in Rainbow
- Or 160 yards of a size 4 medium weight yarn (including fringe)
- 12 Inch Metal Hoop
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors

- Please read all notes and stitches before starting the pattern.
- This pattern is worked in joined rounds. Do not turn unless otherwise stated.
- Chain stitches at the beginning of each round do not count as a stitch.

Rainbow Wall Hanging Pattern
- Round 1- Make a magic loop and work 6 sc inside, slst to join, ch1. (6)
- Round 2- 2 sc in each stitch around, slst to join, ch1. (12)
- Round 3- *Hdc in 1st stitch, 2 hdc in second stitch* repeat from * to * around, slst to join ch2. (18)
- Round 4- *Dc in 1st stitch, ch1 sk1, 2 dc in next stitch* repeat from * to * around, slst to join, ch1. (24)
- Round 5- *Sc in 1st 4 stitches, 2 sc in next stitch* repeat from * to * around, slst to join, ch2. (30)
- Round 6- *Dc in next 5 stitches, 2 dc in next stitch* repeat from * to * around, slst to join, ch1. (36)
- *Turn your work. We will be creating bobble stitches in the next round and this will allow the bobbles to pop out the proper way*

To attach this mandala to the hoop, leave a VERY long piece of yarn and using a tapestry needle weave the yarn by going in every ch-1 space then around the hoop (as seen in the photo above). Finish off and weave in ends.
