Hi friends! First off, Happy February! I just wanted to start off with a small introduction for those of you who are new (you can read more from last months blog post here) and then get into some of the fun things we have coming up this month.
First off, Hi, I am Sam – they/them pronouns – and I live in Seattle. I work in the video game industry as a community manager and spend whenever time I am not gaming either tangled up in yarn or nose deep in a book somewhere. I also love to bake, sew, shoot macro nature photography, and screaming Taylor Swift at any and all hours of the day.
For February we have a bit of fun coming up too!
Next week we have not only one, but TWO patterns releasing. I worked with Lion Brand a few years ago and did an infinity cowl with one of their (now discontinued) roving yarns that was just swoon worthy. And then I have a pattern I have already published, but wanted to refresh it a bit, the Rainbow Wall hanging.
For March we And then I have a SECOND cowl (because bags and scarves/cowls seem to be my favorite right now) called the Marshmallow cowl (this one even has a video!) and is designed with some of our favorite staple yarn, Thick and Quick.
After that, I am not sure, but ill be sending out a poll in the March 1st newsletter just to gauge interest.
I am currently working on a new 5-6 piece collection with a yarn company, I have a cardigan on my hook right now, a few new bags, and about 4 sweaters on needles, and socks, and a few other designs just floating around and honestly, the creativity is FLOWING and I am so thankful for it so let me know what you want to see.
The only problem is I have had ZERO time to get them written out, so I have scheduled all of tomorrow to just knock that out. However, if anyone has like 10 hours a week, knows WordPress/Social Media/Yarn things, and wants to be my (paid) assistant, dm me <3
Oh and two more things! One, THANK YOU for all the views and love on my first vlog. I am so excited to keep recording them, and this months will go live on February 25th at 10 am pacific.
And two, I am no longer selling finished items or patterns on Etsy. Good news, its because I have FINALLY opened my own shop. Check it out by clicking here, or the “shop” button at the top of the blog and ill be adding new items (digital and physical) on the 1st of every month.
