Hi pals! Welcome to today’s free crochet pattern release, my Fio Crochet Bandana! This one was made with yarn support from Hobbii, and I am so obsessed with this yarn I just can’t wait for you to work with it too.
This crochet bandana pattern is a little different than my Cottage Core Crochet Bandana, where this one starts with an i-cord vs a chain or foundation chain row. I used my Original Cordsmith for mine, but I explain a bit lower how you can also do this other ways if you aren’t into the idea of knitting i-cord or you don’t have a Cordsmith yet,
The crochet pattern is below for this bandana, and I also have a Ravelry listing if you want the PDF version as well. Oh, I also made a YouTube video showing you how to make the i-cord with a Cordsmith, how to work into the i-cord, and how to work your bandana! If you want to check that out you can do that here!
Items Needed
- 1 skein of Fio Yarn – Size 1 yarn – 164 yards – 70% Cotton 30% Polyester – Color 02
- 3.0 mm Crochet hook
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- 3 stitch markers
- Cordsmith or DPN’s
Abbreviations
- Ch – Chain
- Sc – Single Crochet
- Dc – Double Crochet
- Dc2tog – Double crochet 2 stitches together
- Sk – Skip
Pattern Notes
- You can also knit i-cord with dpns, or you can just crochet a chain that measures the same and do it that way too!
- This yarn looks really good when blocked, so doing a light steam block to straighten out the edges and the i-cord isn’t a bad idea. It also softens a bit too and creates a really nice drape.
