Hi pals! Welcome to the final blog post of 2024! Today I am sharing with you my 2024 Pattern Book! Last year I make a PDF book of all of my patterns for the year, so I am doing it again and this year you get 14! 13 of them are crochet, and 1 is knit, but I think this really showed off my skills this year with garments, accessories, beanies, and more.
This book has everything. My notes, my comments, links, tutorials, and a TON of photos. It’s a beefy file, and I have to compress it to even be able to email/upload to Ravelry. Like, it’s over 100 pages. BUT, if that sounds like the worst time in the world to you, I will be adding in a “patterns only” version with the extra photos removed. The covers will stay, but I’m gonna minimalize this one pretty hard. Edit 1/12/25 : The shortened version with only a few photos has been added to the bundle. If you purchase the bundle now, or previously had, you will have both copies in your library now. .
You can snag your copy here on Ravelry, but if you’re a newsletter subscriber, well, you get it for free.

And if you sign up for my newsletter between 12/28/24 – 12/31/24, send me an email, I will send you a code to get it for free too. If you see this after that date and still want it, again, send me an email and we can work something out. I never want a financial barrier to prevent you from making something you want to make, and yes the patterns are almost all free already, but sometimes it’s easier to follow when you can print it out or add it to your Kindle or iPad, so I really don’t mind doing what I can to make us both happy. Thankfully, when I’ve done this before no-one has abused the kindness, so I’ll keep doing this until I can’t. <3

2024 Pattern Book Contents:
- Kindle Pouch – Crochet Pattern
- Perfect for your e-reader. Easily customizable to your yarn weight and the dimensions of your e-reader.
- Mandala Vest – Crochet Pattern
- A super fun, size inclusive vest pattern, made with 1-2 cakes of yarn total, and is easily customizable in the width and length to make it fit your body perfectly.
- Josefine’s Bucket Hat – Crochet Pattern
- This is one of my only “paid” patterns for the year, in collaboration with Hobbii. You can snag this pattern through them, or grab the whole PDF for the 14 total patterns.
- Sprout Hat – Crochet Pattern
- This is a fun hat pattern, with or without the sprout. It kind of gives a “kitty cat” hat vibe, and is super customizable.
- Ukulele Strap – Crochet Pattern
- One of my not a typical Sam Bartley Design, but I really love how this turned out. You can make it the way I have it written to fit a ukulele, or make it bigger for a guitar or other instrument!
- Granny Square Bag – Crochet Pattern
- A super fun take on the granny square bag, made with 2 colors, a Romanian I-cord strap, and a zig-zag slip stitch seam for the squares.
- Luna’s Crown and Fingerless Glove Set – Crochet Pattern
- This is a 2 in 1, so it looks like 13 bullet points, but it’s 14 total patterns!
- When my sweet friend Liz gifted me this yarn she hand spun for me at Flock Fiber Festival I knew I needed to design something for her, so since she loves crowns so much, I made her her own crown. And then because we both live in the PNW, I knew she needed fingerless gloves to match.
- Magical Garden Cardigan – Crochet Pattern
- THIS is one of my favorite patterns of the year. Or maybe it is my favorite pattern. It’s delicate, soft, cozy, and gives me big “tea party in the garden” vibes. Have I mentioned how much I love granny squares and their versatility? It’s also super size inclusive, oversized regardless of what size you choose, and the most comfy thing I own.
- Apollo Cardigan – Crochet Pattern
- The sibling pattern to my Apollo Sweater, this cardigan was designed for my partner Sean, and I am so thankful he loves it as much as I do. Truly, he wears it once or twice a week to work and I honestly can’t say I wear my makes that much.
- Sunset Vibes Crop Top – Crochet Pattern
- Oh this is a super fun one too. Designed for my sweet friends at Hobbii, I created a crop-top/sleeve only top inspired by a Seattle sunset (photo included on that blog!).
- Laptop / MacBook Sleeve – Crochet Pattern
- I designed this one with my friend Sunset Fiber Co’s yarn, and if you get the chance to order anything from her I promise you won’t be disappointed. (Sign up for her newsletter to get a discount too!)
- Scrap Knit Scarf – Knit Pattern
- My one and only knit pattern for the year. This one is SUPER beginner friendly, because I am a beginner knitter, and is filled with simple stitches (I only use the “knit” or “purl” stitch) and is a great way to learn knitting.
- The Sunrise Beanie – Crochet Pattern
- My final pattern of the year, this one was also made with my leftover yarn from the Laptop / MacBook Sleeve, and it’s 100% my favorite beanie, even over the Ellexa Beanie, and that’s saying something.

2024 Pattern Book “Disclaimers” 😉
And I will be totally honest for anyone that is new or doesn’t know, 90% of my patterns are free here on the blog. I don’t have ads on my site, which is partly my fault and partly because I hate how they look, and very rarely will I have a pattern that is a “paid only” pattern, and those are collaborations with different yarn companies, like Hobbii or an indie dyer. But I do include those patterns in my PDF, so you don’t need to purchase them twice if those are some you want!
Oh, and the formatting between patterns doesn’t match across the board, and that’s mainly because some patterns went to Hobbii, some went to yarn companies, and others were just my normal formatting. I’m updating my 2025 patterns to something more universal, but if I had reformatted everything you wouldn’t be getting this until 2026, haha.
(I also tested this on my kindle scribe, and the table of contents is clickable, the “back” button doesn’t like to work most of the time, and you CAN write on it. I couldn’t figure out how to get the back button to be consistent, but it should be okay. It should work similarly on iPads and tablets that allow writing.)
Tutorials to hang onto
I did have quite a few tutorials come out with these patterns, and they all should be linked in the PDF for you, but if you wanted to check them out without the patterns, I have them listed here for you too:

Sam
