I know you’re supposed to write something clever here, or witty, or even inspiring, but I just don’t ever know what to write when describing my designs so that it doesn’t sound like a food blogger trying to use every SEO/Keyword possible. But this time is a little different. This time we are re releasing my absolute favorite beanie, the first design I ever had tested, and the most popular design I have had to date: The Ellexa Beanie.
This beanie was designed with a super kind and energetic human that used to work with my partner. Their energy was contagious and they continue to bring a light to everyone they meet, I am sure of it. We haven’t had one of our chats in a long time, but this beanie will forever be a reminder of our friendship and I think thats pretty rad.

Abbreviations
All patterns follow the same abbreviations as the Crafty Yarn Council.
| Ch | Chain |
| Slst | Slip Stitch |
| Sc | Single Crochet |
| HDC | Half Double Crochet |
| BLO | Back Loop Only |
| SC2Tog | Single Crochet 2 Together |
** Sc in the 3rd loop: That can be a bit tricky, the 3rd loop is right under the “v” part of the single crochet, in the back of the stitch. Sometimes it can take some working to get into it, but it creates a beautiful texture when you do.
**Puff Stitch Stitch – yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop. Yarn over and insert back into stitch, yarn over and pull up another loop. Yarn over and insert back into stitch, yarn over and pull up another loop. Yarn over and pull through all 7 loops on the hook.
