Oh! While i’ve got you here, did you know I post monthly roundups of everything I have made, worked on, and read for the month? Well, now you do! These give you all the details so you can check them out for yourself!
Alright pals, thats enough, let’s get to the patterns.
Knit Pattern Review #1
I’m So Basic Socks
Alright, if you’ve been following me on Facebook or Instagram at any point over the past year or so, you’ve seen these socks. These are the “I’m So Basic Socks” by Summer Lee Knits. It’s a free download on Ravelry, and if you have EVER wanted to knit a pair of socks, this is the set I recommend every single time.

I am going to be 100% honest and say that I have knit 3 complete pairs of socks, and 6 different other socks, and this is the only pattern I have used. I love the details, the information, the tips and tricks, and the fit is just perfect. You can customize them in 3 different sizes, and I alter the length of the leg on each sock I make, and it’s just a lovely design.

Knit Pattern Review #2
Summer Secret Crop Top
Okay, honest time again. I haven’t made this pattern in 2024 yet, well, not fully. I HAVE made two of them though, so I feel qualified to talk about it. This is the “Summer Secret Crop Top” by JessieMaed. This is another size inclusive pattern, xxs – 5x, that can be made with a fingering weight yarn or a DK weight yarn.

Like I said, I’ve made two. One with a cashmere blend yarn (Let’s Go Party by Woolberry Fiber) and a second one with a SW merino (Court of Dreams by Explorer Knits), both are WELL loved staples in my wardrobe throughout the summer and I cannot wait to add another one to the mix soon.

Knit Pattern Review #3
Flax DK
The handy dandy super trusty Flax Dk. This pattern was the first sweater I actually cast onto needles, and one I have made countless times. Okay, 4 times, but who is counting?

There are a few different variations of the Flax sweater, but the DK version lets me use dk weight yarn OR two strands of fingering weight held together, which is what I did for this sweater in particular. To create the fade I would hold color a and b for 10 rows, then change to B and c for 10 rows, then c and d, and just swapped 7 different yarns around every 10 rows until the end.
