Hi pals! Welcome to todays post! This one is about my top books of 2023. I have listed most of my 5 stars, and the rest are over on my GoodReads. I highly recommend checking out the 4 stars I read too, there are a TON that were almost 5 stars and incredible.
Reminder, I do read a variety of books, including explicit/”smut”/romance and dark and twisted books, so please make sure you check reviews and/or read trigger warnings before diving in.

A Love Letter to Whiskey

A Love Letter to Whiskey was something so special to me. If you want to read my review, you can check it out here. You can also snag this on Kindle Unlimited (KU) or physical copy here!
Sorry I Haven’t Texted You Back // The Music Was Just Getting Good

Sorry I Haven’t Texted You Back was the first book I read by Alicia Cook and I immediately fell in love. Her poetry is captivating, emotional, and raw. I have a review up here.
The Music Was Just Getting Good is Alicia’s last in the mixed tape trilogy, and I was lucky enough to read it early, and my review is here. This one comes out in January, so you have plenty of time to read the first two and understand exactly why I love these books.
Fourth Wing // Iron Flame

Fourth Wing was one of those books that I should have heard about before I did, but I am so thankful I found it. I read this before BookTok got to me, and the magic, dragons, fantasy, and romance had me captivated in a way that hasn’t happened in a long time. You can read my full review (spoiler free) here.
I thought Iron Flame was going to be a “sophomore slump” kind of book, but this book had everything I could have asked for and more. The cliffhanger at the end might actually be the death of me, but I know for a fact book 3 is going to give me even more questions so I am excited for that to come when it does. This is an ongoing unfinished series, so keep that in mind before diving in. (I don’t have a review other than what I wrote here because I refuse to spoil this book.)
Star Crossed Letters

If you are looking for a super cute meet-cute romcom, this is your book. Read the full review here, or snag it on Kindle Unlimited here.
Morbidly Yours

Another rom-com with an Irish mortician and a Texas animator. It’s cute, clever, and made me cry twice. Full review is here and you can grab it on Kindle Unlimited here.
One Dark Window // Two Twisted Crowns
One Dark Window and Two Twisted Crowns are my top 2 books of the year. This duology was perfect. This is a fantasy, with romance, an incredibly fascinating magic system, and two main characters that are unlike anything I’ve seen in a long time. I am so thankful my friend BooksAndBedtime recommended this to me.
Full review of One Dark Window here.
Purchase One Dark Window and Two Twisted Crowns on Amazon.
Lonely for You Only

Lonely for you Only is a “swoon-worthy new adult romance full of love songs.” My full review is here, and you can pre-order it (coming out February 6, 2024) here.
Contractual Obligations

Contractual Obligations follows two MC’s on a forced marriage with an enemies (used loosely) to lovers vibe. You can read my review here, and you can snag it on Kindle Unlimited here.
Transmogrify!

Transmogrify! was such a fun collection of Transgender and Gender Nonconforming fantasy stories. My full review is here, and you can purchase it on Amazon here.
