In It to Win It: A Romantic Comedy by Ali CurtisMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
Okay okay okay, another rom-com you might be thinking, well, you’re only partially right.
What’s it about? Emily Cooper is a total bad ass at her job and wants nothing more than to get this promotion she has been working for, partially due to the fact that if she doesn’t she will lose her apartment, but also because she is the best person for the job. What she doesn’t want is a distraction, even though her friends think she deserves just that, at least for the weekend. That’s where Matt, and his perfect forearms, come in.
I hecking loved this book. There is workplace romance, NYC setting, wonderful banter/text conversations (and you know I love good witty banter), best friends that I could only dream of, you get “touch her and die” vibes without the stabby-stabs, and the consent! Oh I could go on for days about how good that was, and for everything, not just the bedroom.
Anyway, I highly recommend this author and this book and I am waiting as patiently as I can to read about Josie & Luke next.
