What do I even say about this book that hasn’t already been said? I dove into the first chapter on audio book and thought to myself “well, this is going to be a lot, let me get it in physical format and grab some sticky notes and highlighters while I am at it.” and then the storyline promptly fell off of that train and jumped right into “she’s in love with the boy.” about 30 seconds afterwards.

THAT BEING SAID, I really did like this book. Persephone is a strong determined person with a sassy mouth, and Hades is everything you could hope to expect in someone holding that title. I loved their banter. I loved their love. I loved his protection. I didn’t love that she literally did exactly what she said she wasn’t going to do but in a different font. I GET it, like I get it, but also, COME ON.
Anyway, I won’t be reading the rest of the series, I thought it would be longer than one book on the two of them so that kind of ended it for me. Nothing against the author or anything and this has nothing to do with my rating, I just don’t need another series of independent stories all kind of tied into one.
