I know Bride was quite popular a while ago, but stick with me.

“You’re not a problem, Misery. You’re a privilege.” Holy freaking hell Ali, what did you do to me.

I went into this knowing little, despite it being a really popular book. This was everything I could have hoped for and more. The mystery, the fated mates, the heartbreak, the lies, the slow burn, the spice. There wasn’t one single thing I didn’t like. The main characters are witty and clever and raw and honest and I adore Misery despite multiple flaws. Lowe is a cinnamon roll touch her and die, but also knows she’s tough as all get out and respects that.
I listened to the audio book version of Bride and 100% will be adding this to my shelf asap. The narration was really good, I just absorb better when I can read while listening. (I understand how silly this is to say, but I wish audiobooks had subtitles. Like I wish you could open the app, buy them each, and then read and listen at the same time, and it follows along like Spotify lyrics. Get on it Audible.)
As someone previously said, Ali Slayzelwood does it again.
