Lonely for You Only by Monica MurphyMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
Fake Dating, enemies to lovers, ex-boy band member, oh my. When Scarlet celebrates her 18th birthday, her dad gets what he thinks is the next best thing to Harry Styles, Tate (the lead singer from her favorite band when she was 13) to preform. One thing leads to another and a few photos and videos of him preforming go viral on social media, his old manager comes back to help him get his career on track, with one condition. Scarlet comes along too. The only problem, the publicity she got from the photos was not what she wanted, and she’s not happy about it. Can he convince her to go along with the plan, and if he does, will it even work?
First things first, this book has some of the cutest writing I have read in a while. Yes, there is some spice, but nothing to get too worked up over imo, but just a warning. There is romance, love, kindness, understanding, and the chemistry. Seriously, if you want a cute romcom to take up your weekend, this one is it. I adored the chemistry between the two mc’s, the best friend is hilarious and one that really stands with her best friend instead of being a jealous brat. And the dynamic between Scarlett and her parents is something I could only dream of.
If it isn’t clear, I loved this book. I am adding this one to my shelf IRL when it comes out.
