Hi pals, welcome to the blog! April flew by in a whirl of yarn, pages, and creativity, and I’m excited to share everything I got up to this month. From cozy crochet finishes and knitting progress to the books I read, the blog posts I published, and the YouTube videos I uploaded, this is your full behind-the-scenes look at my April 2025 wrap-up. Let’s dive into the makes, the reads, and all the little wins along the way.
I do have a YouTube video to go with this as well, where I share a bit more of the details, information, and my thoughts, so make sure you check my April 2025 Wrap Up too!

Finished Craft Projects
April was a satisfying month on the crochet front. I wrapped up a few cozy makes, experimented with new stitches, and even tried a pattern that had been sitting in my queue for ages. Here’s what I finished and how it turned out. Knitting brought me a lot of calm this month, and I made great progress on a couple of pieces. A few made it off the needles and into my finished pile, and I’m so happy with how they came together.
Fio Bandana

This one was made with yarn support from Hobbii, and I am so obsessed with this yarn I just can’t wait for you to work with it too.
Capelet

This is another Hobbii yarn support project, but I didn’t end up making a pattern for this one. Instead, I just crocheted however felt right, swapping out stitches and vibes as I went, and I really love how it turned out.
2 Knit Pouches

If you remember from a few months ago, I made a giant knit kindle scribe pouch for my, well, scribe. I realized I needed to make a smaller version too for my paperwhites, so that’s what I did. And then I promptly gifted them to friends.
Tunisian Pouch
OKAY SO technically I didn’t “finish” this one yet, but the Tunisian crochet is done, I just haven’t added the zipper… Mainly because I don’t know how to do that yet. So that’s a thing.

Beanie

I finished up my folded brim beanie with Sunset Fiber Co yarn this month, and I can’t stop wearing it. I used the Enchanted Evening Cap pattern for this one.
Mario Diamond Painting

And something not fiber arts, my Mario diamond painting! I love how these are turning out, and I can’t wait to finish the Sonic one and get them up on my wall.
Works in Progress (WIPs)
There’s always something on my hook or needles. These are the projects I worked on in April only, but not all of them. I will be posting a video in a few weeks with all of my current WIPS on YouTube, or you can go watch the one from last month now!

Neon Purple Beanie
This beanie is something I am just working on on the side. I ordered this GORGEOUS yarn from QuarterCakes yarn and I’ve just been knitting along as I have time. This is a selfish project, one I want to take a while, one that I don’t mind not rushing through. It’s cozy and I really appreciate it. (I am also nervous I made it too big… So if I have to frog this, expect tears.)

Temperature Blanket
Oh this thing is actually pissing me off. The past 4 weeks have been essentially the same temperatures, meaning the hexagons are the same colors, which means 4 out of the 5 hexagons in the first row of the second quarter will BE THE SAME. I don’t know about 5 yet, thats this current week.

Skater Skirt
Here is another QuarterCakes yarn project, but this one is going to be a LOT of work to get through. I am designing a folded elastic band skater skirt in this yarn, and I am crossing my fingers my crochet math transfers to my knitting math because there’s gonna be a lot of it.

Meowdy Partner Embroidery
Another fun “not crochet or knitting” project, this new embroidery hoop I was sent for free to review! You can snag one here, the only thing I see so far is the thread isn’t the best quality, so it tangles if you go too fast, but other than that it’s a pretty solid kit for the price.

Lakeside Dress
I SWEAR TO HECK THIS DRESS WILL BE FINISHED, I just can’t crochet fast enough to get it done it seems. I have just been so stinking busy with other things I haven’t had the time to sit down longer than 30 minutes at a time to work on this. I am determined to get it out next week, regardless of if the updated photos are done or not. Wish me luck.
Books I Read in April 2025
My reading stack this month was a mix of cozy, intense, and everything in between. Here’s a look at what I finished, plus a few quick thoughts on each book.

Off Your Game
Hockey romance? Hockey romance. *swoon*
First Time Caller
Exquisite Ruin
This Monster of Mine
Bury Your Gays
I didn’t include a photo of this one, because I haven’t finished it, but it’s not because I don’t want to, it’s because it’s a thriller and I am a big scaredy cat. I’ll get it done this month though. Just a few pages at a time lol.
