Hi pals, welcome to todays blog! Today I am sharing my update of my first quarter wrap up of everything books. I am sharing with you my tippy top favorites, the ones that made me cry, everything I bought, everything I was sent, and all of my digital ARCS.
If you’d rather listen to my chat about everything and go about this a little more informally you should totally check out my YouTube video below and enjoy the chaos that is my channel. I am SO close to 2,100 subscribers, so if you wouldn’t mind hitting that button while you’re there I’d super mega appreciate it.
Okay, reading is more your style, that’s rad too! Let’s break it down a little first.
January I read 11 books.
February I read 8 books.
March I read 3 books.
Which brings my total books read for Q1 to 22 books. That puts me about 5 ahead of schedule. If you weren’t here for the first bookish update of the year, my goal is to read 72 books this year. So even though March was a slow month for my reading, I am still on pace to hit my overall goal for the year.

What’s Changing In Q2?
First, and this is a big one, I am bowing out of my book club. This year has been a hard one for me mentally, and this is such a good and strong group of people reading some really powerful books. But, and not that I can’t always learn more, I live a lot of what they are reading every day. I love the books they chose, I just don’t think I am looking for that kind of book club. HOWEVER, if you want to read some really good books (The Poppy War, Flirting With Disaster, Heartstopper, etc), then I highly recommend joining this group.
Next, at least for April, I’m not reading anything I don’t want to read. I have a few books on my “wish list”, but I am not really forcing anything this month. I am still rolling my mystery TBR, but I am only 1 out of 3 for that, so let’s cross our fingers I want to read this one. 😅
I’m still using my book journal too, and my spreadsheet, so if you want to see those updates just let me know, but I think I’m at least going to keep those two going. I really enjoy the physical-ness of my book journal a lot. Makes me feel like my digital arcs get their own little spotlight for a minute.
Alright pals, that’s it for Q1! If you have any questions, recommendations, or anything at all you want to tell me, just let me know in the comments <3
I love you pals, be safe <3
Xx, Sam
