Hi pals! Welcome to the blog! Today I am sharing my review of The Courting of Bristol Keats, the first in a duology by Mary E. Pearson. We will start with the tropes, and after you look at the stunning FairyLoot copy I bought we will get onto the review!
Tropes
📚 Multi POV
📚 Romantasy
📚 Mortal Realm and Fae Realm
📚 Magical Battles
📚 Enemies To Lovers
📚 Slow Burn
📚 Lies and Love

Okay, this book surprised me wildly. I got it in my December Fairy Lootbox and had never heard of it before. I sat down to read and said “Ill read about 100 pages tonight before I go to bed.” 200 pages later I realized that was not going to happen.

It’s a “thrilling romantic fantasy full of dangerous fae, dark secrets and addictive romance.” and this was a really fun read. There is found family, so many lies, lots of magic and fae and goblins and ogres and humans and I really appreciated the world building and the character growth.
If you’re looking for a fantasy romance that isn’t super super spicy, but does have a morally grey shadow daddy who likes to dance with our girl while invisible, here you go.
I need book 2 now. (Please.)
