Hi pals! IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!! And in celebration of today, I am sharing with you an I-cord bind off Cordsmith tutorial I have been meaning to make for a while, I just didn’t have a project to use until now! Thankfully the birthday sweater I have been making for myself needed an I-cord bind off on the sleeves and now we have a new cordsmith I-cord bind off tutorial!
If you don’t know what a Cordsmith is, well, let me introduce you!

A Cordsmith is a wonderful tool my friend Autumn has designed to make knitting I-cord not only more accessible, but about a bazillion times faster than using dpn’s (double pointed needles). So what can you make with it?
- Use it to create i-cord to cast on a project
- Drawstrings for hoodies, pants, and bags
- Lanyards for keys and ID/work badges
And so many more things! Check them out in my shop to learn more about what they can do!
So not only can you make as much I-cord as your heart desires, you can also bind off your knitting, and even add an I-cord edge to your crochet!
Check out the tutorial and let me know what you think!
And of course, if you have any questions, leave those in the comments below! I hope you find this super helpful and maybe snag a Cordsmith for yourself!
Xx,
Sam
