I dmed Brittany the SECOND I finished. I was jaw slacked, eyes wide, gasping.
To start, Brittany is an “instant read” author for me. Her world building, her character development, her attention to detail, it’s all just *chefs kiss*. The way the different series all interconnect but you don’t *need* to read the other series(s) to get to know those characters either. Read the trigger warnings, read the synopsis, then dm me the second you start reading it. I need unhinged reactions so I can feel something again.
Grayson and Carrie are soul crushingly perfect. Their banter. Their passion. Their love. I know this is a duet, I know we have more coming, but the set up, the delivery, the death of my hopes and dreams, it was so perfect I wouldn’t even be mad if she made us wait forever for #2. I know she won’t, but I would totally be here for it.
Also, if you’re interested in the spice, this is some goooood spice. Brittany has such a way with her writing that the story is so good you truly don’t need anything added to make it complete, but when things get spicy you remember quickly why Brittany is the best of the best, she can write it all.
I realize this is more of a love letter to Brittany, but I’m leaving it. I am so excited for book 2!
