Hi pals! Welcome to my beginner friendly crochet fingerless glove tutorial!
This pattern officially starts the re-release schedule of my “beginner friendly” crochet patterns I had written 8+ years ago, but desperately needed a revamp/rework/update. Sometimes the yarn is unavailable, or I find a better option. Sometimes it’s exactly the same, but I fix my spelling errors, you know, it happens.
If you’re interested in a video tutorial, check it out here! And if you’re here for the written pattern, keep scrolling! You’re almost there!
But without further ado, here is the beginner friendly crochet fingerless gloves pattern!
Items Needed
- Approx. 90 yards of worsted wight yarn (KP Chroma in Candy Mountain used for the sample, you can make roughly 3.5 fingerless gloves per skein.) – (Use code AKPSAMB at checkout on KnitPicks.com for 15% off your order!)
- 5 mm hook
- Needle for weaving in ends
- Scissors
Sizing
- Cuff Length: 2 inches

Gauge: 6 stitches x 5 rows = 2in x 2in square
Notes
- Please read the entire pattern before starting.

Pattern (Make 2)
Cuff:
- Round 1 – Making sure to not twist your foundation row, FPDC around the first fdc to connect the circle. Place a stitch marker in this stitch. This will help you keep track of your beginning of round. Bpdc around the second fdc. *fpdc around the next, and bpdc around the next*. Repeat from * to * all the way back to the beginning of the round. (30)
- Round 2 – 4 – *Fpdc around the fpdc from the previous round, bpdc around the bpdc from the previous round.* Repeat from * to * all the way back to the beginning of the round. (30)
If you want your cuff longer, repeat round 4 until it reaches your desired length. I just don’t like when they bunch up in my jacket cuffs so I keep mine a little shorter.
Hand:
- Round 5 – Hdc in the first stitch of the round, marked with a stitch marker. Hdc in each stitch around. (30)
- Round 6 – 12 – Repeat round 5. (30)
- Round 13 – (Left Glove) Hdc in the 1st 3 stitches, chain 5, skip 5 stitches, hdc in the next stitch. HDC in the rest of the stitches until you get back to the beginning of the round. (30)
- (Right Glove) Hdc in the 1st 22 stitches, chain 5, skip 5 stitches, hdc in each stitch back to the beginning of the round. (30)
- Round 14 – 16 – Hdc in each stitch around. (30)
- Round 17 – Crab stitch in each stitch around. Finish off your yarn and weave in your ends.
