Hi pals! Welcome to today’s blog, where I tell you all about the past… well… since August I guess. It’s been a busy few months, filled with twists and turns, so instead of describing how wild it was, let me just tell you what went on.
First up, August brought Flock. I posted a YouTube video about my time there, my haul, and shared some of the pals I got to meet/hang out with while I was there. I think I want to do another blog soon of the “things I recommend/don’t recommend” when attending Flock, but also what other things do you want me to tell you about? Places to eat in Seattle? How to use public transit so you don’t have to walk up the hills of agony that is downtown Seattle? Where to get food that doesn’t cost $50/person and you are full and happy when done? Just let me know!

And then September brought SO. MUCH. WORK. at the shelter. I had a ton of events, a convention, and a lot of fundraising to do. I got to spend some time with friends I haven’t seen in years (or ever met IRL), I did a LOT of walking, and I learned more about what my career goals were and started to reevaluate what path I wanted to take.

October brought me Tech Tree Games. I started working as their community manager in October, and it’s been a delight to be a part of. The community is really rad, the team is magical, and I am really excited to grow this world alongside everyone.

November, well, that brought me to here. After a lot of thought, tons of tears, and well, more issues than I am willing to talk about right now, I put in my resignation with the shelter. I loved my job, and what I did there, but we weren’t on the same page anymore and that’s okay. Sometimes chapters are just that, chapters. So with that being said, I am ramping up my hours at the studio, I am opening up my marketing program to a few more people, and I am going to be making content to my little hearts content. It’s time to just do what I want to do, what I love to do, and what I know I am good at.

So, if you’re needing someone to help build out your marketing/social media plan for your business, reach out at Sam@SamBartley.com. I have references and a sliding scale and I am pretty fun to work with according to my pals reviews.
And with that, I think you’re all caught up! If you are signed up for my newsletter you already know the schedule coming up, and if you aren’t, well, go sign up silly goose!
I love you pals, thanks for being here.
