Hi pals! Welcome back to the blog! Today I have a new tutorial up over on YouTube and I am super excited about it. I have had a few requests for these over the years, and I know there are already a ton on YouTube already, but if this can help just one person then I did my job.

So this video is covering the basics, and I mean basic basics. We talk about yarn, hooks, a slip knot (and how the way you start it actually changes how it closes), how to start your first row (there are a few ways!), a single crochet, and I even toss in the way I prefer to do a magic circle/ring/loop and how to close it, just for good measure.

I didn’t do a photo tutorial this time because the video is over 30 minutes long, that would be a lot of photos. BUT, if you really want one, let me know and I’ll see what I can do. 🥰
