Hi pals! Welcome back to the blog. Today I am sharing with you a cute video I made making my Flock Fiber Festival Scrap Book! I wanted to create a “day in the life” style video for Flock, but got a bit overwhelmed and decided I would go a little gentler of a route and do this instead. Everything I decorated with came from Flock, and I printed the photos on my Canon Ivy Printer.
Side notes about the printer. They have an app that lets you pick out collages and I use one with 4 spots on it so I can get 4 photos per sheet. Also no this isn’t an ad or anything from Canon, I just love this little printer a whole bunch and everyone always asks. No the paper hasn’t faded, it is thermal so no ink, and 50 sheets are about $24.

Also let’s talk about my experience at Flock. I had the absolute time of my life. I got there at 9:30 on Saturday and quickly found my sweet friend Autumn. We didn’t get a photo, but I did get to give her a friendship bracelet I made and she gifted me a few Cordsmiths and some stickers and a bag and I am just so thankful for this sweet person.

I went and got in line and met a few new friends there too! Then they quickly got us inside to the main floor and it was just so magical. I went and saw Sewrella’s booth first. I was looking for one specific yarn in particular and was 50% sure they would have it in stock if I got there really quickly. And, I was right :) I even got to take a photo with Ashleigh and she let me keep a one of them. And we traded friendship bracelets too.

I bopped on over to Red Door shortly after that. I was wearing a the Mary Kate Crop Top made in her yarn. I had planned on buying one of her skeins too, I just hadn’t planned out which one. Thankfully they spoke to me quickly and I fell in love with Kenergy. My partner has lime green in his hair, it’s his favorite color, and I knew he needed a beanie with the vibes of this yarn.

And last I went to see EKF. I think I put EFK (my brain is a little silly sometimes) on her bracelet, but I’m only going to be embarrassed and think about that for the rest of eternity. No big deal. I snagged a skein of Court of Dreams to go with my first skein of the same colorway from a few years back. I wanted to make a shawl with it, paired with a skein of Drift from her too, and now I am halfway through the KiKi Shawl Lite by TLYarnCrafts.

That was it for my yarn purchases. That wasn’t the last of my yarn though. My sweeeeeet friend Liz spun me some yarn and brought it to me and I mean just look at it. I already made a pair of crocheted fingerless gloves with it, and have enough left for a headband too so I am working on that next.

I also have a new project starting up soon that I haven’t ever done before so make sure you’re following my Instagram stories to see it the second it arrives.
